COMMUNITY OF SAINTS PARTY
The "Community of Saints Party" was a huge success. It was a grass roots party with about 100+ in attendance. Fun was had by all. This included singles, parents, grandparents, kids, grandkids, teens, ministry coordinators, clergy (Fr. Bob, Fr. Javier, Deacon Rigo and Deacon Dave) and even a hungry person from our community. We had a singing solo by our very own pastor, Fr. Bob. Great music by the flashy Jim Oliver. Pinata's bounced by Raul Fregoso, provided by Rudy Rojas to the gorgeous guitar music and singing of Alonso. Fr. Javier did a great chase of the pinata! Carla and Forest Lewis were hosts extraordinairproviding and presenting raffles prizes, pouring wine and picture takeing. Lore thank you for taking pictures I can't wait to see them. Thanks to Ron Peters for the emergency delivery of pizzas to a very hungry crowd. Love to Lana, Ksenia, and the princess Audrey for twirling the little ones for "pin the halo on the saint". The potluck was so delicious that everything was gone in minutes! Thanks to all who shared a dish. All beverages purchased and delivered by the most wonderful Mr. and Mrs. Schlientz. Thanks to Patty for the paper goods, coffee, tea and all around hot beverage items. Laura, the lady with the "key", thanks. Big hug to Fr. Bob, and all the Deacons for the continual announcements the past few weeks. Thank you Debbie with coordinating the Mass Liturgy and Barbara for planning the music at Mass. Jayne you are someone to count on for the bulletin announcements. Thanks Joanne for posting the announcement on the website. Pam, Randy and Carla for stuffing those bulletins while I was away. My friend Louise, thank you for inviting your RCIA group and your laughter and dancing brought joy to my heart. Big hug to the all around set-up man, music transport and moral support Greg Antonoff. Lastly, none of this could not have happened without the thoughtful planning of the SEEK/BUSCA core team Pam, Carla, Rudy, Chuck and Randy. Your my "main" Saints!!!
You see it takes a community of SAINTS to have a fantastic party. Thank you is not enough! Looking forward to our next "shin dig".
