Thank you for visiting our Music Ministry Donation page. We are fortunate to have a vibrant Music Ministry that continues to grow. One of our goals is to establish a parish music library. Currently, our parish resources include accompaniment books and hymnals as well as a limited number of octavos.

 

We also are fortunate to have subscription services that allow us to download licensed music for our parish musicians. Additionally, we frequently access the Choral Public Domain Library online for downloadable music as our Music Ministry abides by U.S. Copyright laws and refrains from illegal photocopying. We would; however, like to develop a choral library that would allow us to have a wider variety of music so that we may prepare meaningful and beautiful music for our parish community. A parish choral library would provide years of use to many people. We understand that a choral library takes years to develop and are happy to begin the process.

 

Additionally, we would like to replace some of our current music stands and add a few additional microphone stands. Some of the current music stands have been used for over 30 years And have been repaired several times. We would like to keep some of these older stands to use for parts as this will practice helps us to utilize our equipment for many years.

 

As the choir has grown, so has the need for two additional microphones. These microphones would provide the necessary coverage for our larger parish liturgies.

 

Other items on the list include a quilted grand piano cover to give added protection to our beautiful grand piano. The spider dolly would be attached to the bottom of the piano so that When floor maintenance or other issues arise, the piano move is safely accomplished.

 

The last item listed on this list is a set of choir chimes. We borrowed a set of choir chimes at Easter time and was able to borrow them one more time for this Christmas. They provide a Lovely bell-like ring that adds so much to our liturgies. The beauty of the choir chime is that they can be handled by children as well as adults. As we move forward into the 2010 year, we would very much like to add a children’s choir to our Music Ministries. The choir chimes are also a wonderful musical teaching tool for all ages.
