RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS
Is something calling you to the Catholic Church?
Are you feeling a void in your life?
Are you on a winding road without direction?
Whatever path has led you to this time of searching or interest in the Catholic Church, we here at St. Michael are ready to welcome you and help you understand and appreciate Catholic beliefs and practices. The process for adults (18 years and older) who want to know more about the Catholic Church is called RCIA, the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults.
Who fits in this process?
The unbaptized
Those baptized in other Christian denominations
Baptized Catholics needing the Sacraments of Confirmation and Holy Communion
How long does it take?
This is a common question, one that has no definite answer. There is no set time for becoming a Catholic. What is important is ensuring adequate preparation. Some may require more time, and some less; it depends on their spiritual readiness. Here at St. Michael we have an ongoing process, meaning that one can start immediately
When and where do the sessions take place?
7-8:30 p.m. each Tuesday
St. Michael Convent, 375 Maple St. (across from the school); look for a large red and white banner with the words RCIA INQUIRY
How do I get more information?
Contact RCIA Coordinator Louise Ridsdale at 925-447-2925 or 2louise@comcast.net
Consider taking the first step toward exploring a deeper faith journey. You are invited to see that God has always been with you and to discover where God is leading you now.
Ask and you will receive; seek and you will find;
knock and the door will be opened to you.
